This governs the case in which the words appear in the list and searches both on screen and when printed.
Sort Alphabetically and Sort by Length
This governs the order in which the words appear in the list. It also governs the order in which the words will be printed.
Auto Delete
If this is checked then changing to a smaller size will delete words that are too long for the new size. The program will then delete words until the total number of characters in the words is equal to, or less than, the total character spaces available in the search grid.
It is possible to construct searches with a list of words which contain more characters than are available in the search grid. This is because the words cross over each other using common letters which reduces the effective number of characters in the list of words.
In practice lists which contain less than about 85% of the character spaces available are usually easily constructed, but the greater the number of long words then the greater the difficulty in constructing a search. It's a case of taste and try for each particular list of words.
If this function is unchecked then no deletions are made. This means that you can have more characters than can fit into the search and words too long for the search. The fact that there are words which are too long is detected at the creation stage but too many characters is ignored because it's possible to construct a wordsearch with too many characters (see above).
If this function is unchecked and you then select it to be checked the program will delete words to suit the current search size as detailed above.

This brings up a dialog box to allow the creation of the search.

This brings up a dialog box with some totally useless information on the search.
